Deeper Love Inside Santiaga ebook

Unlike her sister, Winter, Porsche Santiaga didn't have a chance to evade social services after the police took their parents away. Bouncing from foster home to foster home and following an unfortunate incident, Porsche lands in juvenile prison where she learns the rules of survival the hard way. After linking up with a fellow detainee named Riot and becoming a member of her gang, the Diamond Needles, Porsche winds up on an Indian reservation with Riot and they are taught important lessons that will last a lifetime.

Porsche's initial goals are simple--return to her Long Island mansion and reclaim the lavish lifestyle her family once lived. However, with all of her newfound insight she is still not fully prepared for the fight ahead of her when she is hit with the harsh reality of her mother's new existence; the fate of her sisters, Winter, Lexus and Mercedes; and the realization that life as she knew it will never be the same.

"A Deeper Love Inside" starts off slow, but once it takes off, it soars. I was all-engrossed in what would become of a little girl lost in the system without a real family unit. As is her signature, Sister Souljah showcases strong-willed and determined females against the backdrop of intelligent, nurturing and successful male figures.

Souljah has a way with words as she weaves this emotional story of struggle, growth and true love. From the ending of "The Coldest Winter Ever", I, as I'm sure most of you, had drawn my own conclusions about who I thought Porsche Santiaga really was. Make no mistake, people aren't always who they appear to be and by getting to know Porsche like I do now, you too will find a deeper love inside

  2. Excellent, excellent read. It is so well written and I can tell that Sister Souljah really took her time forming the personality of the main character, Porsche. I wish I could find more books like this out here because it really inspired me. I stayed up reading this book all day only stopping to sleep and eat. I think if you've read The Coldest Winter Ever, you may be surprised by this book a little, but in a good way. I think everyone is looking for a duplicate of Winter's story but it was really refreshing to hear the middle sisters' story. Reading this book I felt like I was actually experiencing all the pain and all the love Porsche experienced in her young life. I would give this book 10 stars if I could.

  4. I like to read book reviews before I make a purchase so I'm a little disappointed that most of the reviews for this book are talking about its lack of availability on Kindle and not the actual book.

  5. Whenever I am asked what my favorite fiction book is, I always answer `The Coldest Winter Ever' by Sister Souljah so to say I was excited to read `A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story' would be an understatement. Porsche is Winter's younger sister and this is her story told from her point of view. A Deeper Love Inside seems to pick up right where The Coldest Winter left off and Porsche is a young teen in a world of trouble.

Sister Souljah takes us into this young girl's journey throughout the juvenile detention system, through group homes, through being on the run, and ultimately to finding her place in the world. Porsche is her father Rickey's daughter as she is a hustler just like him. She also worships her sister Winter so it is in her blood to do whatever is necessary to survive.

Sister Souljah has an amazing ability to make the reader feel as if they are Porsche and experiencing her trials and tribulations as if they are their own. `The Coldest Winter Ever' and `A Deeper Love Inside' are considered to be of the street lit genre, but both are unlike any street lit book I have ever read. Souljah uses her unique voice that makes you seem to forget that the main characters in her books: Winter, Rickey, Midnight, Porsche, and some new supporting characters are not the most upstanding citizens in society. You feel for them, you empathize with their situations, and even if you did not grow up and/or lived in their type of environments, you somehow seem to understand their thought process.

Yes, it has been several years since `The Coldest Winter Ever' was released, but `A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story' was well worth the wait. All street lit authors need to read Sister Souljah's books and learn how to develop a story that goes beyond the typical brand name dropping genre stereotype. Oh, and let me end this by saying, Winter and Midnight make appearances in `A Deeper Love Inside' so that is a definite bonus!

  6. For some who were looking for another good girl gone bad and finds her bad boy then loses it all type of story then this is NOT for you. Sister Souljah writes with soooooo much depth in this book that the average "hood story" reader will become bored within the first couple of chapters. Sister Souljah starts with the foundation then begins to pull back layers of Porsche as the book continues. She shows us the raw and vulnerable Porche. She shows how Porsche is rebuilt and honestly it was one hell of ride as I read along.
