WMF KULT 6 Stove Top is TOPS

WMF Kult 6 Cup Stovetop Espresso

My sister-in-law purchased a set of several different Kuhn Rikon knives. I was able to try them out while visiting her and was very impressed at how light, sharp and easy to use they were. I ordered some right away for myself because, although I had decent knives, they tended to be heavy, cumbership and dulled quickly. These knives are sharp so be careful in using them! This sandwich knife is a great shape for spreading and is sharp for cutting. I have really enjoyed its versatility. I also recommend the other knives from this maker and they come in several colors and patterns, which makes them unique. The best thing for me, though, is how much easier food preparation became when I purchased these. I like to cook but I don't want it to be an aerobic activity so this really works for me!

Terrific Product for Making Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches

Best Review on Norpro Ice Cream Sandwich Maker

Norpro Ice Cream Sandwich Maker

Bought this card to use with my Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7in tablet, based on others who have reported getting it to work in their Galaxy Tab 2.

Bottom line, you gotta reformat this card as FAT32 with 32kb sectors to work in the Galaxy Tab 2, and that requires jumping thru some hoops as Win6/Vista does not even offer the choice to format as FAT32, only as NTFS or exFAT, neither of which will work with the Galaxy Tab 2 (Android v4.04) You have to use 3rd party software to accomplish this. A FREE solution is the EaseUS Partition Master free software you can download from cnet or direct from EaseUS. I had a commercial package already installed (Acronis DiskDirector) that I used.

Once fomatted as FAT32 with 32kb sectors, the card is recognized AND all the space is seen and useable.

Highly recommended if you need the space. I would assume that this would also make LARGER microSDXC cards work as well

A panini maker and grill in one

Best Review on Villaware NDVLPAPFS1 SHP VillaWare Panini Grill

Villaware NDVLPAPFS1 SHP VillaWare Panini Grill

I have been looking to get a panini maker for awhile now after seeing a different model demonstrated on a home shopping network. Now I have owned many different Foreman grills over the years, but while they were good for burgers and grilling other meats, they were good for sandwiches. The Foreman woild usually smash them flat and make a mess.

The Villaware panini maker is a great machine. I have made a few different types of grilled sandwiches on it and they have come out great. The bread is crispy and brown on the outside and on the inside the meat is hot and the cheese is melted perfectly. And surprise feature for me is that this panini make opens flat and becomes an indoor grill. This is great for doing burgers, steaks and more. There is also a drip tray underneath the grill that pops right out for easy clean up. Also the grill plates easily pop off for easy cleaning. This is a great grill and I plan to use this all the time.

Cuttlebug 2000293 Machine V2

I purchased the cuttlebug as a Mother's Day gift for my 88 yr old mother, who has just taken up card-making and scrapbooking in the last few years. Before my Dad's death, he had bought her a Cricut Expression, which she just hasn't been able to get the hang of using, without someone to guide her through the process. I love my own cuttlebug so much, and it's so easy to use, that I figured this is something she would be able to handle without assistance. When she opened this gift, she was thrilled! She has already made several cards using the embossing folders and dies my sister and I bought her to go with it.
This is a quality product and a must have product for anyone who loves card-making, papercrafting, and/or scrapbooking. It's a good starter machine that you'll continue to use long after you've advanced to electronic machines, as it's embossing powers go far beyond what any electronic machine is able to do. The embossing folders are inexpensive and this machine will take any brand of die or embossing folder. I have two electronic cutters, but still turn to my little cuttlebug on a regular basis to give my die cuts that special touch of embossed elegance! I love my cuttlebug!

I was kinda unsure if I should go with this panini maker or not but the price was so right and I wanted a panini maker. So despite the Negitive Reviews I went ahead and got it because I always enjoyed Hamiltion Beach Products and this did'nt fail me. I dont think there is a need for a ON and OFF switch. I only use it when I plug it in anyways. And someone mentioned that her bread burned before the meat got hot, Well I have made so many sandwiches these past few days and not one sandwich was cold in the inside! IT was crispy warm and sooo yummy. I used every type of bread from market brand sandwich slices to sourdough rolls. No bread was too thick or too thin for the panini. If you are useing Rolls do be sure to keep a spacula in hand to keep the roll in place as you close the handle down. The surface on the panini by the way is sooo easy to clean. I am a clean freak and I also read someone saying the panini sucks becaus eit get soo dirty, well I had too much chesse in a sanwhich once and the chesse ozzed out and stayed on the grill but when I wanted to clean it so I can make another sandwich all i had to do is wipe it with a paper towel and that was it. When it cooled I cleaned it with a simi wet sponge and thats it. I love this 100%. I suggest if you dont like yours, you might of just got a bad one or something, exchange it for a diferant one!

USA Pans Pullman Aluminized Americoat

In my attempt to feed my family of 5 more natural, healthful foods, I had been baking my own bread instead of buying store bought. I had just been making two loaves on a cookie sheet, but that didn't work too well for sandwiches. So I started researching pans. Amazon always has amazing prices on stuff like this and the free super saver shipping is a definite plus! So, I had a different pan in my cart that the lid had to be purchased separately. Then I saw this and the quality looked great for only a few $$$ more. I ordered it and received it yesterday. I made the King Arthur Flour 100% whole wheat pain de mie recipe with a few tweaks. I just took it out of the pan and it looks awesome! I love cooking gadgets and anything that makes my life easier. I can't wait to try the bread when it cools. I will definitely be ordering another pan in the near future. I am even tempted to try some more USA pan products.

Best Review on Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer

Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer

If you're like me, you don't go with the first product you see or hear about. You do your research. Due diligence. Investigation. When my wife and I decided a few years ago that we would like to start pricing banana slicers, we put together a master plan.

This plan involved plenty of online research, talking with friends, family, neighbors, our financial advisor, our accountant, our attorney, our ecclesiastical leader, we also read thousands of online reviews. We attended a couple of expos that showcased several banana slicing models. We even went to a couples retreat that involved hands-on use of various slicers in real-world settings. As a side-note: the retreat was well worth the $15,000 fee because they also taught classes on the use of the slicer that prepare you for the certification test given at the end of the retreat. My wife and I are now licensed to practice banana slicing in 5 states and select regions of Canada and Mexico. We even have a permit to travel with a banana slicer and (of course) we each have a concealed banana slicer permit. (Although very difficult and awkward to conceal).

I'm getting off topic. My apologies. Anyway, after 2 solid years of research, we finally decided on a Victorio Kitchen Banana Slicer. We were very comfortable using the 571A model (especially at the couples retreat), but found the slicing pads to dull quickly - making it useful for only 100 bananas or so before it became noticeably difficult to have clean and even slices without mushing the banana.

My wife and I were ecstatic when the 571B model came out. Total and complete improvement! Victorio really knows how to make a quality product! When that model was introduced - we acted the very next day and made our purchase. (We didn't purchase the same day because we have a rule to sleep on it for a night before making hasty decisions). It was just our luck, because we had been saving up in a `Banana Slicer Savings Account' since we decided to invest in one a few years back - and just that week we had accumulated enough money to buy the unit outright! At one time we thought we'd only have enough for a down payment, and have to finance the rest, but with some overtime at work, and a little cost cutting here and there, we are the proud owners of a brand new Victorio Kitchen 571B Banana Slicer! WOOHOO!!!

Last thing I want to say: I am also a certified and bonded instructor for the use of this banana slicer. I teach a 3 week course where at the end you will receive a license to use the unit in your state. If you are interested in taking classes, please let me know. AND MAY THE EVEN SLICES BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!!!

Read First Before Buy Bialetti Express 3 Cup Stovetop Espresso

Bialetti Express 3 Cup Stovetop Espresso

First off, I have to state that I've never used one of these before. After reading all of the reviews I was on a quest to some what duplicate our favorite coffe drinks from Scooters and Starbucks. I ordered 'used' listed as 'like new' condition. This showed up in perfect condition. So I was happy as I only spent $16 on it. But would not be disappointed at all if I spent full price for new. If this broke I would buy another one. Although looking at the design, I'm not sure what could possibly break on this thing :D

First and foremost, run some coffe through it a few times to help break it in. It seems to get better each time you use it. I only rinse it out now after each use with plain water. Now on to what I've learned so far:

1. Reading the reviews about full rich flavor of espresso, I was excited. But my first few batches tasted horrible. I tried various tips listed in reviews and also online about making espresso. All I can say is, have patience and experiment. I went from course grinds, to finer, then finer. Tried not packing them down to packing them down a bit. Each yield a different result. For now I've settled with grinding fine and tamping down a bit.

2. The heat makes a difference!!!! First few batches, I had it up towards high. This is on a flat stove which does work just fine. Coffe tasted like it was burned. Finally learned to just give it a few more minutes on medium. Now I put it on medium which is the half way point between the lowest setting and the highest. This seems to work fine. Although I'm still experimenting with the heat to make sure the water goes through the grinds not too slow, not too fast.

3. Take it off the heat when you hear the gurgling. It's finished. And it will even work if you take it off when the top portion is mostly full. Then you avoid any burning.

4. Try different beans! I bought Starbucks espresso dark roast. These mimic the taste of the drink my wife likes. I also like the taste. For the fun of it, I tried some of our drip coffe pre-ground beans. That worked also, but was pretty bitter. All in all, the way you grind, the type of beans, and the heat, and other factors play a part in the taste. Fine what you like and go with it.

5. If you like Starbucks, go there and order just a single shot or two of Espresso and taste it. Then go home and taste it against what you are making with this. I did this with Scooters and was really happy that the shot they gave me tasted like the stuff I was making at home. The point being, whether or not Starbucks or whatever chain is considered real coffe, the fact is, if you or a loved one is addicted to what they serve for $5 a pop, then it's worth it to compare. That way you know. Because 99% of the time, the drinks people are ordering from these places have a shot or two of espresso. I was able to mimic my favoriate Scooters drink. But I wasn't sure at first if my espresso was tasting right just plain. After comparing, I know what I make at home is right.

Now here is the other thing I am finding. I enjoy drinking the espresso straight. It just has a certain flavor to it and the smell is great. Heck, I could see just making a cup and leaving it sit out in our home. You walk in and it smells like a coffe shop.

I am very happy with this purchase and have been using it everyday once or more times a day. I have nothing against the coffe chains as they make some great drinks. But it's nice being able to make them at home and not spend the $$$ to get a good drink. You can find ways to mimic various drinks. With the milk for example, take a mason jar (without the lid), then microwave it for a minute or two. Then take it out, put the lid on, and shake it for a bit. Now you have the likes of steamed milk and froth. You can pour with a spoon blocking the froth. Then scoop out the froth to put on top of the drink. Pretty cool.

Hope this was useful!

Read First Before Buy Sunbeam FPSBTRWP01 Whoopie Maker Brown

Sunbeam FPSBTRWP01 Whoopie Maker Brown

I bought this whoopie pie maker primarily for my 10 year old daughter. She loves to bake and this is a 'step up' from an easy bake oven but still manageable for little ones. Well, I decided to test it out and I'm impressed with this inexpensive (under $20) gadget. The machine itself felt heavy and sturdy. It is an unappealing dark brown exterior with red interior. It has a fairly short cord, as most countertop appliances do. It comes with nothing but an instruction manual. There are a few basic recipes included. I have chosen to use box cake mix but the vanilla filling recipe included in the booklet is delicious (made with butter, powdered sugar, and marshmallow cream). It will fill about a dozen whoopie pies. If you are using a standard size box mix, you will probably get 12-13 whoopie pies. I chose a DH cupcake size mix (makes 12 cupcakes) and got 6-7 whoopie pies. You mix your cake batter as usual and then plug in your machine to heat. There is an indicator light on top which will illuminate when ready. There is no power button...if it's plugged in it's on. It appears to cycle on and off to maintain consistent temperature. You will need to spray the interior (or brush butter) plates. The interior is some sort of nonstick; maybe ceramic. Fill the bottom cavities with about 1/4C batter, enough to barely fill each cavity. Close the lid and wait. The instruction pamplet recommends about 8 minutes for cakes, however I've found that they are ready in 3-4 minutes. You can insert a toothpick to make sure. Then remove them; they come out easily with a rubber spatula, and cool. Spread with filling and make a sandwich. It's really very simple. I made enough rounds for 7 whoopie pies in about 15 minutes. Now, the best part.....this is a multi use machine! I have used this to make pancakes (perfectly round) and eggs (over easy, med, or hard). I have adapted the included breakfast corn and bacon recipe by decreasing the sugar and adding 1/4C corn kernels and 1/2C shredded cheese. These took a little longer to cook, about 5 minutes and were awesome. I imagine muffin tops, brownies, and even cookie dough might turn out great in this machine. I especially love it for making pancakes as you can make a dozen in about 6 min. Pancakes cook in about 2 minutes. Eggs take about 4 minutes. You could probably do scrambled rounds as well. The machine wipes clean with damp cloth and doesn't take up much storage space. It can easily fit in a kitchen drawer. Overall, this is an excellent buy if you like small, round foodstuffs. I imagine I will continue to find uses for this machine as it already appears that whoopie pies are the thing I make least in it!

Best "five of hearts" waffle iron available

Read First Before Buy Chefs Choice 830 WafflePro Waffle

Chefs Choice 830 WafflePro Waffle

I did not think you could make a decent waffle without a old-style heavy duty waffle maker. However, I stand corrected. One point to mention, is this is the Scandinavian heart style waffles, not deep pocket Belgian style. These are the best for folding with sugar and butter inside (in my opinion).

Pros:
1) drip tray that actually works, no need for newspaper under the waffle iron
2) select either cook through (slower) or crispy outside/soft inside (90 seconds accurate even at darker settings)
3) Brown dial - indicates not only the number but a general idea of light/medium/dark, so instead of having a different timer setting for each family member - I just have to remember their number
4) fast switching between settings - can go from the fast crispy/soft to cooked through setting rapidly
5) heats up quickly
6) LOUD buzzer - my hearing is not as a great as it could be, but I can hear this in the other room
7) non-stick is actually non-stick, no need for Pam
8) floating lid allows for big thick waffles and super skinny weight watcher ones too
9) cool to the touch when on

Cons
1) hard to switch from cooked through on dark BACK to crispy outside/soft inside on medium without too much browning - timer does not adjust for previous hotter setting - this is too much to expect from an inexpensive iron, but that is the one trouble I have had

Bottom line:
This iron is easy to use intuitively and very easy to clean up. I would recommend it to anyone without reservation.

Excellent Toaster & Egg Sandwich Maker

Best Review on West Bend TEM4500W Muffin Toaster

West Bend TEM4500W Muffin Toaster

I get up early for work everyday, and would find myself eating toaster pastries, or stopping at the c-store for a sandwich. This obviously didn't work out too well when I decided to try drop a few pounds, so I purchased this baby, and I haven't looked back. I use it at least 5 days a week. I make a sandwich with a whole wheat bagel (bagels fit without issue), egg whites, and a slice of thin deli ham. My roommate does a more traditional sandwich (sausage, egg, cheese) and says they turn out great too.

The unit itself is well built, and is nicer than any other toaster I've purchased, and poaching the eggs is just about full proof. I haven't hard boiled eggs so I cant speak to that. The plastic pieces are easy to clean. The little metal trays for the eggs take a little more work, but are not bad (they are none stick). A little PAM in the dish before you put the eggs in goes a long ways. the only thing that isn't easy to clean is the tray that boils the water, but it really only needs occasional cleaning, as it doesn't dirty fast, and doesn't contact food. The only other note I'd make is that your meat will drip onto your eggs, which isn't a big deal, but isn't really a great design either.

Overall, the pros are so good I give it five out of five.

Small World Living Toys My Oh My

I have made over a dozen Gluten-Free loaves with the Home Bakery Supreme 2-Pound-Loaf Breadmaker. The dough rises beautifully - nicely browned tops, domed beautifully. I found the three "homemade" cycles exactly what I needed. Most of the GF recipes/mixes I use specifically state "do no use GF cycles" available on other bread machines - so that particular feature is not missed, would have been a waste actually. I used a modified version of the settings I found from other comments here as well as from Annalise Roberts book.

I did read some negative comments but I have not experienced any of these issues - no excessive noise, absolutely rock solid on the kitchen counter, even browning and trivially simple to program and use.

I HIGHLY recommend this bread machine - my experience has been with GF bread but I can't imagine gluten tolerant folks having anything but the same great experience.

The only downside to this beautiful contraption is that NO ONE you attempt to explain it to will think it is as cool as you do. Nor will they understand why you are so excited about it. Nor comprehend the utter MAGIC required for this thing to do what it does. Oooh but once you show them... My girlfriend finally stopped telling me to "shut up about your stupid toaster." Even she was impressed.

The eggs are done to perfection every time - even hard boiled (that's the magic part). I've used both eggs and Egg Beaters with equal success. The Meat Warmer (I want to shake the hand of the lazy person who decided on that name) doesn't actually cook, so no raw meat, but I've used it to cook/heat veggie burgers, Chik patties, etc. with no problems. It heats up frozen solid veggie burgers and merely refrigerated patties to the same perfectly cooked state every time - more of that magic stuff, I assume.

Toast - well, it's pretty difficult to be bad at toating toast.

I use this thing three or four times a week for a quick easy meal. I ... It completes me.

Here you have it .. a hand built toaster from the days when domestic appliances were well made, built to last and easily serviced. I've used mine daily for the past 15 years and its worked flawlessly. Sandwich maker perfect for sandwiches and toasting delicate items like pound cake.
Elements and other parts easily ordered from Dualit and every part is bolted together for a solid 'Hummer' of a toaster. This product is a major industrial design classic from the 1950s and will grace any kitchen counter just for its looks. If its good enough to feature in James Bond movies then why not have a working piece of 3D art.
Functions perfectly from lightly toasted white bread to well toasted whole wheat. Note that since the timer and pop up switches are separate you can pop the toast up or down anytime. However you cannot turn the timer off once set, but once you know what setting to use I've never found this an issue.
Sure it's expensive but this is a commercial product used daily in cafe's and restaurants in England. Beats the cheaper residential light and fragile models sold in the stores hands down.

As good as if not better than the high priced Zojirushi

Best Review on West Bend 41300 Electronic Dual Blade

West Bend 41300 Electronic Dual Blade

I bought the West Bend Hi Rise bread maker about three weeks ago (November 2010). I originally was going to get a Breadman machine but read reviews that parts and service are difficult to obtain. Then I was looking at a Cuisanart but there seem to be issues about performance. Finally I settled on the West Bend based on overall good reviews. Later I found a local discount store has these on sale for fifty bucks. But I think it is a good value for anything under a hundred.

I have made about a dozen loaves so far and they have all turned out great. I have made plain white, whole wheat, Honey Oat, Cranberry quick bread, Banana Nut quick bread, and Buttermilk whole wheat. I used Red Star Active Dry Yeast for all loaves, although recipes sometimes call for bread machine yeast or instant yeast.

The recipes from the West bend manual are perfect, contrary to some comments about the poor manual. Perhaps they made corrects based on the feedback. The white, whole wheat and quick breads I made all came from the manual's recipes. I also used Beth Hensperger's Bread Machine Cookbook (highly recommended), and Sheasby's Bread Machine Bible.

The machine is well built. Solid, simple controls. The bread pan is very sturdy. I really like the two paddles and it mixes the ingredients into a consistent dough very well. I have not had the paddles stick in the loaf at all. One tip for easier removal of paddles. They often get baked dough stuck around their bases making removal difficult. Soak in warm water as stated in the manual. When you go to remove them, first push down on the paddle to break the binding dough, then pull up. You don't really feel it move down, but it does just enough to break the gummed up stuff. Works every time.

It has cycles for everything, plus a manual mode in which you can program your own cycles, and a dough cycle. It has settings for Light/Medium/Dark crust; and for 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 pound loaves. I have baked 1.5 and 2.0 lbs loaves of the various bread types I have tried so far and they all turned out perfectly baked with beautiful brown crusts. I warm the water or milk in the microwave before pouring into the bread pan; this helps the yeast start working sooner. No significant collapse of the loaf.

Read the books carefully about interplay of yeast, liquids, temperature, salt, and sugar. There are many types of yeast so be sure you understand which type you have and how much to use. I use very basic Red Star Active Dry Yeast. It takes about 2.25 teaspoons of yeast for a 2# loaf (about 4 cups of flour). Faster acting yeasts can be in the 1.25 - 2 tsp range. If you use honey or molasses in place of some of the sugar then reduce the water/milk by the same amount (about 2-4 tablespoons).

I am not a baker by any means. I got a bread machine because I wanted a simple way to make my own bread. It takes about 10-15 minutes to assemble the ingredients, and then it does everything else in about 3.5 hours for a 2 lb loaf. For one loaf at a time this is VERY easy. If I needed to make multiple loaves at a time for a larger family I might just opt for using the Kitchen Aid mixer and convection oven for multiple bread pans all at once. A bread machine like the West Bend can make a couple of loaves per day easily. I make about 3-4 loaves per week and that feeds my wife and I plus we can give some away to other family and take some to potlucks. My first ever cranberry bread loaf was a big hit at our last breakfast potluck.

I am spending more time learning about bread, ingredients, and recipes and less time making the bread. I would never have the inclinations to get into bread this much if I had to do it all by hand. If I was a real baker I might want to get my hands on the dough, but for convenience of home made bread the West Bend is perfect.

Overall: sturdy, makes great bread of a variety of types, simple to use, mixes dough well, and works with recipes from the manual and other books.

No complaints at all. I like it so much I am getting each of my daughters the exact same machine!

Best Review on GAU 80102 Electric Panini Sandwich Nonstick

GAU 80102 Electric Panini Sandwich Nonstick

I bought the flat Panini press after reading the reviews for the ones with the ridges. I must say I love this press! When I'm in a rush or just don't feel like eating or cooking too much I just pop the press onto my counter top, grab some bread and whatever I want to melt in it and viola' one quick and easy meal. I've made plain grilled cheese, grilled cheese with Taylor Ham, bacon and/or tomato. I've spread tomato sauce on the bread and sprinkled with mozzerella cheese and even pepperoni for a pizza like panini. I've made french toast in it also. The top is hinged so that it adjusts in height for whatever you want to make. It's easy to clean and doesn't take up too much room in my cabinet. I would reccommend this product to anyone considering getting a panini press. Happy Toasting!!! ;0)

Emerils Kicked Up Sandwiches Stacked Flavor

I had a friend who's 2yr old child had a food cutting set, and I was skeptical of whether my 2yr old daughter would also like it. I picked Melissa and Doug's set b/c their quality is always excellent, and I am again impressed with the craftsmanship and detail of this set. I am also pleasantly suprised to find that of all the expensive electronic gifts my 2yo got for her birthday, this has turned out to be her favorite toy!!!! It keeps her entertained for quite a while, and is great for parent/child play together. I only wish it came with more pieces, as I run out of combinations of sandwiches to make for her (but she definately doesn't seem to mind, she just keeps cutting!) Excellent for hand-eye and fine motor coordination, educational (verbal, counting, colors, etc) skills, and withstands a significant toddler beating. Also handy to have the storage box for clean-up. I also strongly recommend Melissa and Doug's food cutting set, which makes a nice coordinated set with this one, and increases the educational value and variety (for mommy who seems to get bored more quickly than my daughter!)

Best Review on Jovial Organic Einkorn Flour 32 0 Ounce

Jovial Organic Einkorn Flour 32 0 Ounce

I was inspired by the book "Wheat Belly" to completely reorganize my pantry.
I switched my family to almond flour, coconut flour, etc...
But in some of my favorite recipees you just can't replace wheat flour, simply can't; like pizza, for instance. So, after googling einkorn flour I was happy
to know Amazon carried it. The flour is slightly creamy in color (not bleached of course), texture is fine, just like your modern flour. When I made yeast dough out of einkorn flour it turned out good, just a little more sticky than usual, but manageble. Also, it's a little less plastic. I am considering adding a little more olive oil to it, or butter, and eggs. I made 4 pizzas and they taste great. The crust tasted more intense then regular bread dough...very pleasant. It made me remember the taste of my great grandma's baked goodies.
I am very pleased with it and will definitely order more.

Breville BSG520XL Panini 1500 Watt Nonstick

Greetings,

I paid $57.99 for this them on October 7th, 2012. Anyone not giving this at least 4 stars has lost their mind! This product is super high quality, and the price can't be beat. Breville makes excellent, top notch equipment, and you can't go wrong. I'm going to keep this super short because there are plenty of uber long reviews, get this press!!

(I'm currently working on about 500 reviews, I order pretty much everything from Amazon but I (until now) never review. So I'm going through the years of orders to catch up, and try and give back to the system. If your reading this PLEASE hit the button saying this review was helpful, it does help out the people that make reviews, and trust me it takes a lot of time... I try not to make long winded reviews, all of the specs are in the product description)

Best Review on Maxi Matic ESM 9002K Cuisine Sandwich Non Stick

Maxi Matic ESM 9002K Cuisine Sandwich Non Stick

I have used numerous audio/video and computer hardware from this manufacturer in the past, and always with great results. This was no exception. So far, I have made at least 2 loaves of bread a week with this machine, and every single one has turned out flawlessly. Even without the use of liquid measuring cups to measure my liquid ingredients (which I had read in several places can destroy your loaf of bread with bread machines), each loaf has been amazing! So far I have tried the ultra-fast bread setting, basic white, wheat, dough, and sweet bread settings. They have all worked wonderfully well.

The timer function is wonderful, too. It allows you to program the bread machine to finish in up to 12 hours time. This way, I have come home from work to fresh baked bread on numerous occasions, having timed it to finish just minutes before I walk through the door.

The manual is easy to follow and understand, although the English can be a little spotty at times, it doesn't take any real deciphering to understand what the directions mean. The stock recipes that come in the book, to my experience so far, all work well, although I would also highly recommend a good bread machine cook book (or some nice online recipes) to go along with this purchase.

Also, if you make as much bread as I do with this (as you should), then you are definitely going to want a nice, dependable bread box, such as this one: Progressive International Adjustable Bread Keeper

So far, myself, my wife, and two young children are in love with this machine. It was a very wise, and affordable, investment.

One HOT waffle maker!

Best Review on Black Decker G48TD Grill Waffle

Black Decker G48TD Grill Waffle

My mother has had one for 30 or 40 years which works great. Growing up we had weekly waffles for a family of nine. My wife and I have now had one, which we bought used at a yard sale, for 16 years and been very happy with it for waffles and grilled cheese sandwiches for our family of five. I would not want a unit that did fewer than four waffles at a time. My son, attempting to be helpful, washed it in water which got into the electronics. Unfortunately it was not yet dry the next time we went to use it - sparks and smoke. So, it is time to replace it. After much searching we're going with the same thing. It is reliable and does the job.

By the by, two tricks for making extra thick waffles:

1) cut in whipped egg whites

2) seperate the top plate a bit - I use a couple of butter knives (which get hot so use a mitt).

Great breadmaker that performs perfectly!

Zojirushi BB PAC20 Bakery Virtuoso Breadmaker

I had an old breadmaker that just wasn't working well anymore, so it was time to replace it. So I did some research and took some time to decide it, and it was worth it. I've made four loaves of bread, two doughs (French Bread and Doughnuts), and pumpkin bread (which is more of a cake) and every one of them was a perfect hit! My old breadmaker wouldn't do bread-cake, and only half of the breads would have risen correctly (and that is if I was lucky). I think what makes the biggest difference for the consistency is that the breadmaker warms the ingredients to the right temperature before mixing it together. Also, in the other breadmaker I always chose light colored crust to keep the sides of the crust getting too dark, but this cooks the bread evenly (because it has the heating element in the lid so it is cooking upward and downward). Overall, this machine is designed very well: the pan is a good normal size and the bread slips out easily with smaller than marks in the bread that I'm used to-- it's mostly just two small holes (my last one had a large slice between two bigger holes, and it had only one paddle). It has a clock on it, so when you set the timer, you set the time of day you want it done (not 5 hours from now) which is more convenient for me. I can say I want this done for dinner at 6:00. It has the latest options: regular bread, homemade bread, gluten-free, dough bread, cake bread, jam, and homemade. It saves me time-- just throw the ingredients in, set the timer, and I have fresh, warm, great quality, bread of any kind that I want. There are so many options opened up by it. Great purchase-- one of the best purchases I've made in the last year.

Delicious Food Made Easy

Best Review on Mango Masala Recipes Supermarket ebook

Mango Masala Recipes Supermarket ebook

This wonderful book helps you make delicious and healthy food without much effort. I bought it just before Christmas and used the holidays, when the kids are home and expecting new and fancy food everyday, to try out some of the dishes. My son who loves Mexican food loved the Peppery Chicken Wraps. The Mango Lassi-Smoothie tastes heavenly. The POM Lime Sparkler was a big hit this New Year's Eve. The Beet Patties reminded me of the 'Vegetable Chop' which we used to enjoy, travelling on the Indian Railways many years ago. And the Carrot Halwa tasted just like the dessert my mom used to make when we returned home from our boarding school during the holidays. Loved the fact that the recipes use simple ingredients available in most supermarkets/groccery stores. Excellent book, will definitely recommend it to my friends.
