Read First Before Buy Dr McDougalls Right Foods 17 7 Ounce
I just returned from a trip and as I always do, I checked out the local health food markets for new gluten free foods. I came across this little gem and was amazed at the robust flavor and aroma. I have long missed my grilled cheese and tomato soup lunch combo but now I can once again enjoy. Preparation is as simple as it gets, no need to add water, just heat for about 2 minutes in a 1100w microwave. Use a covered bowl and DON'T put the box in the microwave. The box says it contains about 2 servings but if your a big guy like me, you'll want the whole box in one serving. If you look at close up of the picture of the box it's a pretty accurate depiction of what your going to see in your spoon. The soup is a bit thicker than your standard canned soup (which is a good thing) and has a bit of a zing to it. Not too much, but by no means is it your grandmothers bland canned tomato. Dr. McDougall's also makes a spicier version, a pepper tomato I think they called it. It's on my shopping list.

BalasHapusThis is the best product of it's kind that I have found. I use it in any number of ways. I've love tomatoe soup or tomatoe anything. After being diagnosed with Celiac disease 2 years ago, it has been difficult to find gluten free products. Dr. McDougall's Chunky soup is easy to store and easy to use. I've shopped everywhere and found nothing that is as tasty and easy to use.
BalasHapusGreat tomato soup. Equal to my favorite. And of course the box package, instead of metal can, delivers nothing but the flavors of the soup; no metal aftertaste usually associated with canned tomato products. Love it!
BalasHapusthis is probably the best tomato soup on the market that is gluten and dairy free unless you make it yourself. chunks of tomatoes and great seasoning. it is very, very good.
BalasHapusI had doubts about this when I first saw it. I've tried other brands of tomato soup, from the can 'o condensed soup just about everyone grew up with to several brands that claim to be healthy. I find them all to be too salty, bland, or both. That is not the case here. This soup is wonderful. It's not too salty and anything but bland. It had just the right amount of spice and even though it's light on the salt it doesn't affect the flavor. This is the only tomato soup I'll buy from now on.
BalasHapusThis is the best chunky tomato soup I've ever tasted. It has a nice spicy kick without being overly spiced. It's vegan and gluten free. I only wish that the container was microwaveable.
