So at my annual physical my doctor tells me that my cholesterol is too high, and I need to start eating healthier. He recommends that a good way to start is eating a few vegan meals per week. Per reviews I've read on here, I decide to order this cookbook. Turns out to be one of the best purchases I've ever made!
Not only are Brian Patton's recipes delicious and easy to make for the novice cook, but his passages are extremely humorous. He makes cooking fun. The first thing I made was The Seared Hearts of Palm Salad, which was phenomenal. Then I moved on to some of the other recipes and have yet to be disappointed. The Bourbon Tempeh Sliders are a great, healthy alternative to the fast food burgers I used to love. Some of my other favorites include the Lasagna Fauxlognese, the Jambalaya, and The Pretend Italian Sausages.
And the best news yet: after eating about 5 or 6 of these meals per week for the past six months, I have lost 22 pounds! Hoping that Brian Patton releases another cookbook soon!
