Read First Before Buy Breville Panini Sandwich Cooker TG425XLR
This blue corn masa (flour) is exceptional. I bought it to use in a variety of ways: cornbread, stuffing, tortillas and recently, I made gorditas with it. I'm gluten free so using corn as a grain is nice from time to time. The blue corn variety is deeper and much richer in taste than it's yellow counterpart. I prefer the richness it has when combined with other food. However, if I was just making cornbread for example (which is all about the corn and nothing much combined in it) I'd probably go for the yellow flour which is less intense. Making corn tortillas from the blue corn and stuffing the tortillas with ground beef, salsa, etc...is a much better experience with the blue corn; it adds an intensity to the whole taste. I love it. I'd like to try making tamales using the blue corn masa. I'll report back.

BalasHapusI have owned and used several brands of home panini grills. This is by far the best one that I have used. It heats up faster, gets hotter, and is more convient to use. The height adjustment for more delicate foods is easy to use and works great. The lock feature for stand up storage works better than any other that I have used.The non-stick surface cleans easily with the included cleaning tool. I can't think of any thing bad to say about it.

BalasHapusThis grill has been not only useful, but fun. Salmon fillets only take TWO minutes and they are perfect. We often look for things we might grill and have turned our imaginations loose on breads, fillings and condiments. Highly recommend this grill!
BalasHapusI love this grill. It is easy to use, fast, and cleans up beautifully. When not in use, I can stand it on end and it takes up very little counter space. The drip tray is easy to remove and cleans up well. I've made a variety of sandwiches, turkey burgers and hamburgers. Haven't had a chance to grill steak, chicken or fish yet. I purchased this after seeing a friend use it in her restaurant kitchen. She highly recommended it. Said she cooks most of her meats and sandwiches on it. It cuts grilling time nearly in half too. When selecting a spot to use it, consider putting it near your stove vent hood so it can evacuate the smoke/steam.
